The following intervention is designed to help reduce physical aggression, such as hitting and kicking behaviors. It helps shape the behavior of hitting to engage in more appropriate actions, such as integrating coping skills with your fingers or hands. The idea is to make it reinforcing and silly in the teaching space. Therefore, when children are redirected to “rainbow hands” and see their colored finger tips, they are reminded to do something else with their hands rather than hitting.
